July 2015 Newsletter

Hi everyone,

Below is the link to our newsletter.

July 2015 Newsletter

Many of us were lucky to attend the annual HLAA National Convention in St. Louis last month. At this Saturday’s meeting, we will share our experiences from what was a very invigorating, informative, and fun weekend. We’ll end the meeting with a rap session on how we can keep a positive attitude despite the challenges that come with living with hearing loss.

As always, the meeting will be captioned and looped, and refreshments and coffee will be provided.

Looking forward to seeing many of you on Saturday!

Although many of us will be in St. Louis for the HLAA National Convention, there will still be a June meeting on the 27th, led by Danny Tubbs! His presentation will be on Hearing Loss Trivia, and is sure to be lots of fun and very informative. Most of the Steering Committee will be absent from this meeting, so any extra help with set-up and clean-up will be very much appreciated.

Have a great meeting, and for those of you going to the Convention, “meet me in St. Louis!”

HLAA-LA Memorial Day Weekend Party 2015

Thanks to all who came to our Memorial Day celebration – it was a lovely afternoon spent with great friends, food and weather.  A big shout-out to Joe and Lisa Beth for all their work in hosting the event in their incredible backyard… as Joe describes it “a visual feast,” which indeed it is. Check out the pictures:
Update: Sorry, pictures are missing. We’ll locate and add them back as soon as we can!

Hope to see you all at the March 28th meeting! We have a great guest speaker, Jeff Grama, who many of you already know (and love!). Jeff has over 35 years of audiology and hearing aid dispensing experience and will be presenting about the latest in hearing aid and assistive listening technology. He will also touch on brain conditioning and memory techniques for people with hearing loss. You don’t want to miss what’s sure to be a truly informative discussion!

As always, we’ll have coffee and refreshments (feel free to bring food to share), and the meeting will be captioned and looped.
