Dave Myer’s article — in the original he gave credit to all of the individuals and groups across the country who have been involved in the Looping movement — the WSJ cut those 300 words. Still—it’s progress — and public education on hearing loss.
Alan’s Memorial
In the fall of 2015 we lost a dear member of our group, Alan Klink. Alan and his sweet spirit touched us all. We will miss him and are grateful for the time we had with him.
Hi all,
We had a great meeting on Saturday, a full house with a very knowledgeable speaker from the House Institute. I think a few of us are going to be making appointments to see Suzannah in the near future!
August 2015 Meeting Transcripts I got from Jane from our Saturday meeting.
See you all in September; don’t forget we have our elections!

Hi everyone,
At the link below is our latest newsletter for your viewing pleasure.
Hi Friends!
Hope you’re staying cool in these sweaty dog days of summer.
Believe it or not, summer is flying by and it’s time to start thinking about this year’s Steering Committee elections. They will take place at our September chapter meeting. We are so excited about this election. We encourage anyone interested in getting more involved with our chapter to think of nominating yourself! Or if you prefer, let somebody else nominate you instead. You must be a paid HLAA National member in order to vote in the election, as well as to serve on the SC.
Here are the transcripts from Saturday’s meeting. Many thanks to the quick turnaround from Jane, our captioner.
Hi everyone,
Below is the link to our newsletter.
Many of us were lucky to attend the annual HLAA National Convention in St. Louis last month. At this Saturday’s meeting, we will share our experiences from what was a very invigorating, informative, and fun weekend. We’ll end the meeting with a rap session on how we can keep a positive attitude despite the challenges that come with living with hearing loss.
As always, the meeting will be captioned and looped, and refreshments and coffee will be provided.
Looking forward to seeing many of you on Saturday!
Hi all,
Below, you will find the transcript from Saturday’s meeting. It was from a captioner we haven’t had before and I’ve never worked with a text file before, so I’m hoping one of these formats will be usable for you. Let me know if you have any problems opening it or reading it.
