’Tis the season for our HLAA-LA fun-filled Holiday Party! Thank you so much for our amazing Grace for hosting it. You won’t want to miss the fun and a chance to catch up with friends. The festivities starts at 7PM, Saturday December 9th.
Our November meeting is fast approaching! Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, our next meeting will be this coming Saturday, November 18. This meeting will be our annual rap session to talk about tips and tricks to manage the stress of the holiday season. Getting fellow friends and family to understand the challenges we face and struggle with can be a daunting experience. We are all here together to help so come and join us to get your holiday season off to a great start!

It was another great turnout for our October chapter meeting with so much to cover. Many highlights to note starting with our now traditional “WOW!” awards. This month the awards go to Katie for her always helpful and all-around efforts and to Diane who has been fantastic as our Facebook administrator.

Need ideas to help you with your hearing issues at work or with your family and friends? We’ve got solutions for you!! Your amazing and wonderful and oh-so attractive Steering Committee will be demonstrating all sorts of cool tech that they personally use.
Well we had a bit of everything for this full house chapter meeting. Starting with WOW awards given to Mitzi and Jenna for their outstanding contributions at the tech expo manning the booth and connecting with those who visited. Way to go! This continued with an announcement of team focus groups, discussion regarding FCC removing captions from the caption telephony system shared from Liz, LAX advisory note from Ken, HAT technologies presentation from Katie Wright and last but not least, a touching farewell to Lisa.

The Expo was a packed house!
It was a busy and educational Tech Expo this year. The event took place at the Ken Miller Recreation Center in Torrance. The day was pleasant and perfect to come down and learn the latest development and innovations within the hearing industry.

Our gang visiting the Mormon Tabernacle
It’s the farewell day but not before getting a chance to witness the live weekly performance of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. The performance is every Sunday from 9:30am-10am Mountain time for the last 87 going on 88 years!
