Hi Friends!
I’m starting to advertise the next meeting early because it is VERY special!
1) First we have an amazing speaker in Richard Ray, he is ADA Compliance Coordinator for the City of LA.
An article from the AARP website summarizing ways to protect your hearing. Important information that should not be kept lightly. Check it out at the link below. Do you have other suggestions?
Our own Grace Tiessen will be celebrating her 97th birthday in April. She is our own Energizer Bunny and an inspiration to us all.
Learn more about Grace, her hearing loss journey and her many contributions to HLAA at the following links.

Hi Friends!
Hope you can all scroll through our photos. Sorry I did not get everyone, but it was definitely a group effort! We had a blast. We also came back with the same amount of stuff as we dropped off. We shopped till we dropped! Full car. Good taste people who donated.
Greetings HLAA-LA’ers!
The video presentation is at the link below regarding understanding and erasing the stigma of hearing loss.
This slideshow provides helpful information, which we all probably know, but offers so good reminders to help ourselves and others effectively communicate with each other. Hearing loss should not be a battle to communicate!
Many good tips for friends and family!
Please see the link below to review the transcript from our March 2015 chapter meeting.
This was also posted on our Facebook page. Good article that I think many of us can relate to!

Also to note. Things are looking up. The FCC Has a brand new committee, called The Disability Advisory Committee, with two of our people on it. Richard Ray from Los Angeles and Lise Hamlin from National HLAA. Richard Ray will be speaking soon to our chapter so a wish list for him would be nice!
It’s that time again! Our next meeting is THIS Saturday March 28th. We have a terrific meeting planned. Hope most of you can make it.
