Heather getting the meeting underway!
It was great to see a packed house at yesterday’s meeting, including several new faces! Thanks to all who came and participated. We had so much fun sharing ideas and eating cookies. Best of all, we had some great visions for the future of our chapter. At the bottom of this article, you’ll see a link to our meeting transcript provided by our awesome captionist Jane. Exciting news shared by HLAA National regarding the OTC Hearing Air 2017 bill currently progressing through congress. The Senate just passed the bill originally introduced by Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) and Chuck Grassley (R-IA) in March of this year. The House of Representatives passed the bill back on July 12 so now it’s up to the President to sign off on the bill.
With the Convention, March for Science and holiday chapter parties, we haven’t had an actual Chapter meeting since March! Needless to say, we had to shake the rust off a bit to remember just everything that needed to get done for the meeting!

It’s the farewell day but not before getting a chance to witness the live weekly performance of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. The performance is every Sunday from 9:30am-10am Mountain time for the last 87 going on 88 years!

Well, it’s the last full day of the convention but filled with sessions, workshops and memory overload. After some breakfast, I yonder over to the train and head into the convention to start the first of five sessions.
