LOS ANGELES COCHLEAR IMPLANT SUPPORT GROUP (LA CIS Group)

Hello everyone,Happy New Year! We hope your holidays were especially happy ones, with somememorable CI moments. We celebrate our annual Cochlear Americas “Ringing in theNew Year” meeting, and social.

MEETING LOCATION:
MARK TAPER CENTER Building,
2200 W. 3rd Street, LA 90057 (click address to visually see location)
–1st floor Board Room.

Located  just across the street from House Clinic, & St. Vincent Hospital. Mark Taper Center is affiliated with St. Vincent. Please note: This is NOT the Mark Taper down town LA.

Directions: #101 freeway, exit Alvarado, to Alvarado & 3rd St.Turn right on 3rd Street, left on Lake St., then a quick right on Ocean View St. The under-ground parking turn in  is on the right. You will see a driveway, follow the access driveway down to the under ground parking.

At the meter take a parking ticket. You will be given a parking validation ticket.
Take the elevator to the first floor, go through the lobby to the Board Room, it will be on the left.

Join us for the Los Angeles Cochlear Implant Support Group. 
This group is dedicated to educating, and supporting cochlear implant recipients, their families/friends, advocating & promoting cochlear implants. In addition to House Clinic, attendees come from four other Cochlear Implant Centers in So. California.

Recipients who have CI Implants from the three leading CIManufacturers attend our meetings. We invite all potential candidates for cochlear implants, their families and friends to visit and join us. Our meetings are a great opportunity to meet others with cochlear implants. All our meetings feature real-time captioning to make them accessible to people with all levels of hearing abilities.All interested individuals are welcome to attend.

PRESENTATION: Cochlear Americas–Kimberli Davenport, AuDCCC-A,Clinical Territory Manager, and Maeve Browne, Engagement Manager.

“2016 was an amazing year for Cochlear Implants. The team from Cochlear Americas is thrilled to have the opportunity to present to you the latest technology from Cochlear Americas by bringing you “A Year in Review”. Kimberli and Maeve will discuss new products that became available in 2016 (processors, implants, and MRI compatibility). They will also present on the Smart Alliance with GN Re Sound and the importance of bi-modal hearing.
Cochlear is very proud of the wonderful services it provides to the Recipients and Professionals, they will also share information on their Community education and outreach efforts. SUPPORT & SHARING: We will reflect on 2016, and share 2017 New Years resolutions.  Your suggestions for candidates who will be at the meeting considering a cochlear implant are very valuable to them. You can make a difference.
LUNCHEON: Cochlear Americas will be providing a “Ringing in the New Year” festive buffet luncheon. Re-new friendships, and meet new friends.  Socialize, relax and get in the spirit. We thank Cochlear Americas.
