August 5, 2016 on change.org: The Federal Communications Commission unanimously approved a rule on Thursday implementing new requirements for hearing aid compatibility with wireless service providers and manufacturers of wireless devices. The goal is that all wireless devices will be compatible with hearing aids by 2024.
The California Telephone Access Program (CTAP) provides free specialized telephone equipment and services to Californians who may have difficulty using the telephone due to hearing loss and/or other conditions. » Read more

We’re thrilled to have the Coordinator for Disability Services at L.A. International Airport, Larry Rolon, join us to discuss accessibility at Los Angeles International Airport. Larry would like our input on ways to make LAX more accessible to people with hearing loss. This is a great opportunity to make our voices heard!

It was an amazing 2016 HLAA National Convention! The LA Chapter was well represented with nine members attending, including the whole steering committee! Getting there and back home, well that was another story but everyone that attended can attest that it was well worth the experience.
