WOW awards were given to Gary Bond, for his help setting up the loop system, and Marie Alexander for greeting people at the door.

President Heather discussed the March HLAA-California Board of Trustees meeting, where the board voted to publish the Californian newsletter through the end of the year… HLAA-CA will have a booth at the upcoming CA Audiology Association conference in Anaheim; volunteers will be needed.

Heather also shared that, at a March meeting, the steering committee voted to purchase needed a/v equipment and to fund printing promotional materials with the new HLAA logo… The SC also voted to establish a $1,000 scholarship to be awarded to a college-bound hard-of-hearing student, starting in 2019.

In lieu of a May chapter meeting, we’ll have a May 26 party at Heather’s home in San Marino. Food will be provided by the chapter. Details to come.
