HLAA-LA Chapter Meeting Saturday, April 23rd – CA Phones Town Hall Meeting
Hi Everyone,
Our next HLAA-LA Chapter meeting is right around the corner on Saturday, April 23rd from 10:00-12:00 pm. Same place and same time.
We are going to host a CA Phones Town Hall Meeting. Per their website, “Thanks to California Phones, from the California Telephone Access Program, it’s easier for everyone to stay connected. We offer free specialized phones that make it easier to hear, dial and call. Over half a million Californians are already enjoying California Phones.”

This program offers phones, assistive listening devices and the Captel Phone services (captioned phones). They will be telling us about their program and asking for our input on possible equipment and services they might add to the program and suggestions on how they can improve.
Specifically, for all those Captel users out there, it would be a great opportunity to provide feedback concerning how the Captel captioned phone experience might be improved. Please see the “Tips Sheet” (or see the link below) of user suggestions on how to use the Captel Phone. This is our opportunity to provide valuable feedback and add to those suggestions.
