SC Elections Recap; Congrats to Pat Widman!

It was wonderful to see so many people at yesterday’s meeting. Thanks to all of you who attended.

I have exciting news to share. We are pleased to welcome 2 new members to the Steering Committee: Tim Browning and Judy Hoewisch. Thank you both for stepping up and bringing new energy to our Committee! In addition, I was re-elected. Tim, Judy and I will be joining Patricia Widman, Alicia Fernandez, and Ken Cluskey (who will be up for re-election next year).

After the chapter meeting, the SC met and elected our new officers. Pat Widman has been elected as our new President! Congratulation and thank you, Pat, for taking on this role once again – this is your 2nd time serving as President, and we are so lucky to have you! The other officers are: Treasurer: Ken Cluskey, Vice President: Alicia Fernandez, Secretary: Lisa Yuan. Tim Browning will serve as Technology Chair, working on our website and social media, and Judy Hoewisch’s title is yet to be determined.

We are looking forward to another year together, with Pat leading the way, and hope to make our chapter even better than it is now. I must say, for the past couple years, I’ve been very proud to tell people I was President of the L.A. chapter, just because – we rock!! We are known as one of the most vibrant and active chapters in the country, and it’s such an honor to be part of this group. Moving forward, we want to continue to be vibrant and forward-thinking, setting an example for other chapters.

If you have any ideas on how you’d like to see the chapter grow, or just want to be more involved, please do not hesitate to contact any of us on the SC. One message we really want to emphasize is that you do NOT have to be on the SC to get involved!
