Our First Virtual Chapter Meeting!
It’s the sign of the times these days. To stay connected, the world is virtual through various online communication platforms. On Saturday, May 16, the chapter had our first virtual meeting using Zoom. Meeting transcript can be found here.
As expected, trying something very different than what we are use to creates its own set of challenges, especially trying to help each other remotely. After helping people get squared away with Zoom, we were able to have an engaging meeting covering a variety of discussion points. This included advice and support directly related to COVID-19 with insurance, masks, and seeking proper healthcare with clear communicate. Great job to our very own Wendi for moderating the discussion!
We also announced we will be awarding our very first recipient of our college scholarship award. A very deserving college-bound senior who will be formally announced and shared in our June or July meeting. Stay tuned!
Additional highlights includes the upcoming virtual Walk4Hearing on Sunday, May 31 to surely check out. More information will be coming soon and don’t forget to check out our Walk4Hearing helpful information page on how to join and help raise funds. Additionally, our next virtual meeting and speaker presentation will be planned for Saturday, June 27. More to come!
