Big Hit for our January Meeting!
(You can view the January meeting transcript here)
We had our best turnout yet since we moved to the Sherman Oaks library early last year. And not to disappoint, Katie Wright, a trainer with HLAA’s N-CHATT program (Network of Consumer Hearing Assistive Technology Trainers) did a great entertaining and informative session talking about the latest and greatest hearing assistive devices. Our own Liz Lesan assisted as well providing further information to members while they checked out the devices on their own.
After the break, we talked about the upcoming year of chapter business to start planning for now including…
- February Relationships Panel – We need a parent/grandparent and child volunteer or two. Always one of the most popular and engaging meetings and surely a rewarding experience, please contact us to learn more or volunteer!
- Walk4Hearing – We need a captain to head our LA Stars chapter team. Everything needed to be done has been documented and there will be plenty of help and volunteers from the chapter to make this a rewarding experience. Please shoot us an email or let us know during the next chapter meeting if you are interested.
- HLAA National Convention – The 2019 HLAA National Convention will be held June 20-23 in Rochester, New York. Click the link to learn more about key highlights that should make this the best convention yet! Note that early bird registration ends March 1.
We are bound to have an exciting and fun year ahead so looking forward to seeing you at our Saturday, February 23 meeting.
