LA Fire Resources
The recent southern California fires have impacted many individuals and families throughout the Los Angeles and Ventura County areas. Some of those affected are people with hearing loss who are more at risk and need additional support.
The Hearing Loss Association of America, Los Angeles Chapter (HLAA-LA) is here to help with a range of resources. If you have additional suggestions for this page, please email us at info@hlaa-la.org.
Resources
From HLAA: Please read this HLAA national blog that includes Disaster Preparation Tips and a listing of hearing aid/CI manufacturers offering support to fire victims or evacuees with lost or missing hearing equipment.
Local Hearing Care Providers (HCPs): Audiology clinics and specialists throughout the greater Los Angeles region are offering their services to residents with hearing loss who have been displaced by the wildfires. Only some of these on the list below have been verified by our team, so be sure to ask when you contact them.
We recommend starting with your own hearing care provider first, even if they are not included here, as this is not an exhaustive list.
