A Day of Inspiration: The 2024 Long Beach Walk4Hearing

We had a cloudy but cool and beautiful morning to celebrate our annual Walk4Hearing event at Shoreline Park. The event drew over 300 people from all walks of life to raise awareness and funds for hearing loss and to show support for all impact in one way or another by hearing loss.

The event took place at Shoreline Park in Long Beach. Activities kicked off at 9:30 a.m. to allow attendees to discover what our various supporters had to offer. An uplifting stage presentation at 11:00 a.m. took place thanking all for attending and announcing various fundraising winners and long-time supporters. The walk started at roughly 11:30 a.m., with participants enjoying a scenic route along the Shoreline waterfront.

The event was a vibrant display of community spirit, with teams of family and friends joining local HLAA Chapters and nonprofit and business partners. View highlights below from the event.

And our Los Angeles “LASTARS” team was again outstanding. The team raised nearly $8,000 with Wendi Washington leading the way raising nearly $2,700!

A big Thank You to all our chapter members who supported the walk either by participating, raising money, volunteering, or all of the above. The money raised is critical to help sustain our chapter and HLAA.

Note: Mark your calendars now for next year. Saturday, May 31, will be our 2025 Walk4Hearing at the same location. We are looking forward to seeing you all and new faces next year!
