A Holiday Party to Remember!
The spirit of the season was in full swing at our annual holiday party, honoring HLAA-LA members and supporters. The large turnout gave us a chance to catch up with old and new friends by socializing and sharing advice about finding our happy place in the sometimes daunting world of hearing loss.
As a way of thanks, we put aside our usual potluck and brought in a catered meal from Maria’s Italian Kitchen. We got to mess up our diets and fill up our tummies with this over-abundant meal, topped by desserts provided by party guests.
As we recuperated from overeating, we transitioned to the traditional white elephant gift exchange. Thanks to emcee Gary for leading the laugh-filled game, as players desperately tried to hang on to their prized gifts as others attempted to snatch them away. A fun time was had by all.
Great parties and new memories can’t be made without the help of many hands. Let’s start with the always Amazing Grace for once again opening her beautiful home for this event. Sharon tirelessly researched food options and brought it all to the party. And to the entire Steering Committee, thank you for planning and coordinating another wonderful holiday party.
Finally, we want to thank all of you. Whether you are affiliated with HLAA-LA as a member, family or friend, we couldn’t do what we do year after year without you. The coming year promises to be another one of opportunities for HLAA-LA, thanks to your support.
On behalf of HLAA-LA, we wish you a safe and joyous holiday season!
