You’re Invited to our Summer Community Picnic!

Join the HLAA Los Angeles Chapter for a day of summer fun, food and friends on Saturday, August 22! Instead of our usual HOPE support group that day, we’re hosting a Community Picnic at a park in Culver City (on the westside) from 10:30am to 1:30pm. The chapter is supplying an array of brunch/lunch bites, so come hungry and bring your family members! Well-behaved dogs welcome.

We need an accurate head count and space is limited—please RSVP for you and your guests by 5pm August 17 using the form below.

HLAA-LA Summer Picnic

What: An opportunity to relax, connect, eat, play and get to know people in our citywide hearing loss community!

When: Saturday, August 22, 10:30am-1:30pm

Where: A covered (shady) picnic pavilion at a park in east Culver City near the 405 and 10 freeways, with restrooms and plenty of parking. There’s a playground for kids, too. Exact location provided upon RSVP.

Who’s invited: Chapter members, email subscribers, social media followers and their families. Space is limited, so please RSVP as soon as possible.

Food and drinks: HLAA-LA will provide a selection of main dishes, sides, salads, cookies and basic beverages. If there is anything special you’d like to share, feel free to contribute an extra dish, drinks or dessert! (It’s optional, though.) You can communicate any dietary restrictions on the form.

Activities: We’ll have a few outdoor games on hand (cornhole, lawn bowling), but don’t hesitate to bring other games you enjoy.

Volunteers: Can you come early for setup (9:30) or stay a bit late for cleanup? We would appreciate your assistance…let us know on the RSVP form! Someone will follow up with you by email or phone that week to confirm.
